Climbing the Tree

Through the years this old apple tree has seen many children climb it's branches. This summer the boys figured out how to climb.
Some things just come naturally don't they?

Joyce Kilmer. 1886–1918
Trees

I THINK that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

I can't look when my son climbs - I'd rather not see. I always think he's going to fall :( That's a lovely tree. x

I have that same thought in the back of my mind. I'm so happy that they're content on the lower branches. xox

That's a fantastic tree for the kids to climb. x

Louise...it sure is. Kids gravitate to that tree. xox
